Lettuce Wraps Recipe

Ingredients: US Customary – 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped – 2 green onions, chopped – 2 teaspoons fresh ginger root, minced – 1 cup water chestnuts, chopped – 1 head Boston Bib lettuce, or romaine lettuce leave – 1 Tablespoon olive oil – Sriracha hot sauce, for topping

Metric – 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped – 2 green onions, chopped – 2 teaspoons fresh ginger root, minced – 240 ml water chestnuts, chopped – 1 head Boston Bib lettuce, or romaine lettuce leave – 15 ml olive oil – Sriracha hot sauce, for topping

Cooking Instructions: 1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the marinated chicken mixture and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. 

Push the chicken to the side of the pan and add bell pepper, ginger, green onions, and water chestnuts. Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp. 

Pour in the prepared sauce and cook, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and vegetables. 

Serve the flavorful mixture in lettuce cups, and top with a drizzle of sriracha hot sauce for an extra kick!
