The Best Chili Recipe

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil – 1 pound ground venison – 2 bell peppers, chopped – 2 large carrots, chopped – 1 onion, chopped – 4 cloves garlic, minced – 1 tablespoon chili powder – 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste – 1 teaspoon paprika – 1 teaspoon ground cumin

Ingredients:

– 1 teaspoon dried oregano – ½ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste – ½ teaspoon garlic powder – ½ teaspoon onion powder – 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste – 1 (12 fluid ounce) can cream-style ale – 3 large beefsteak tomatoes, chopped – 2 cups no-salt-added chicken broth – 2 cups water – 1 tablespoon molasse – 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed – 2 bay leave

Heat oil, brown venison, then add veggies.

Season with spices and tomato paste. 

Deglaze with ale, add tomatoes. 

Pour in broth, water, and molasses. 

Mix in beans and bay leaves. 

Simmer until flavors meld, 30-45 mins.
