The Best Meatloaf Recipe

– 1 cup soft bread crumb – ½ cup milk – 1 ½ pounds ground beef – 1 onion, chopped – ½ cup diced green bell pepper – 3 tablespoons steak sauce, (e.g. Heinz 57) – 1 egg, slightly beaten – 1 ¼ teaspoons salt – ground black pepper to taste – ¼ cup steak sauce, or more to taste

Ingredients:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease a loaf pan that's about 8x4 inches in size. In a small bowl, mix together bread crumbs and milk, and let it sit for a bit. 

In a bigger bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, steak sauce, egg, salt, and black pepper.  

Add the softened bread crumb mixture to this bowl and mix everything together well using your hands. 

Now, put this mixture into the greased loaf pan and brush the top with about 1/4 cup of steak sauce. 

Put the loaf pan in the oven and bake it for about 1 hour. To make sure it's cooked through.

you can use a thermometer — the center should reach at least 160 degrees Fahrenheit (70 degrees Celsius). After baking, let it sit for 5 minutes before slicing.
